Here’s my last post as your teacher!! As a teacher!!

There are two things you might want to look at:

1) New hoverbikes are coming! The military is now testing prototypes. Ricky in Period 1 made a commercial about hoverboards- (watch it here).

2) If you’re interested in robots, the New York Times has a whole section with videos of different kinds of robots – wow, I can only imagine what life will be like in 10 years!

Enjoy your summer and get ready to be awesome 8th graders! Enjoy watching each others’ commercials too. Be kind humans.

Happy Summer! Watch this!

I hope you’re enjoying your time off! My past 8th graders, enjoy your rest before high school begins! My past 7th graders, I hope I may see some of you as Advanced Technology students…and maybe some of you will be in the Yearbook class.

In 2014, a  science series called Cosmos: A Spacetime Odessey will begin, this trailer looks great! It was originally a series hosted by Carl Sagan in 1980 (and he passed away in 1996), and has been revived by Mr. Sagan’s widow and Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy). It will be hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson, my favorite astrophysicist!

“I look up at the night sky, and I know that, yes, we are part of this Universe, we are in this Universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts is that the Universe is in us. When I reflect on that fact, I look up—many people feel small, because they’re small and the Universe is big, but I feel big, because my atoms came from those stars.”
Neil deGrasse Tyson
